BEDFORD FOUNDRY  & MACHINE CO., INC. WHICH WAS ESTABLISHED IN 1902 BY

DECENDANTS OF THE CURRENT OWNERS OF THE TWO COMPANIES.

 

THIS SISTER COMPANY TO INDIANA STEEL & ENGINEERING CORP. IS THE    ORIGINAL MANUFACTURER OF THE BEDFORD ‘LOADMASTER’ OVERHEAD      ELECTRIC TRAVELING CRANE AND PROVIDES  REPLACEMENT CRANE PARTS, ROPE & RIGGING SUPPLIES, CRANE INSPECTION SERVICES AND OVERHEAD CRANE SERVICE.

Pictured at the right is Joseph W. Elliott, shown with his two sons,

Joseph S. Elliott (seated on beam) and Thomas S. Elliott (being held)

pictured with the firm’s first highway bridge -  fabricated in 1962. 

Both sons are presently active in the businesses with their father.

 

 

Indiana Steel & Engineering Corp. was co-founded by the late          Joseph T. Sohn and son-in-law Joseph W. Elliott who is still active

in the business serving as President and Chairman of the Board.
